Gabriela was preceded in death by her parents Norberto Contreras and her mother Manuela Escobedo. She was born in Duval Co. Texas on March 18, 1922 and she resided in Beeville, Texas enjoying her precious life with her family. Aurelia was a homemaker and was a member of the Catholic Faith. She is survived by four daughters; Aurelia (Frank) Gonzales, Susie Cartagena and Leonor Cano all of Beeville, Texas and Cecilia Perez of Refugio, Texas; three sons; Juan (Juanita) Cano and Eugenio Cano both of Beeville, Texas and Guadalupe (Rosa) Cano of Victoria, Texas; one sister; Juanita Nava of McKinney, Texas; four brothers; Jose Contreras of Corpus Christi, Texas, Juan Contreras of Wisconsin, Gaspar Contreras of Kerrville, Texas and Ruben Contreras of Mathis, Texas; twenty two grandchildren and thirty four great grandchildren. Rosary was held on Friday, June 11, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was held on Sat. June 12, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Rev. Eddie H. Garcia officiating. Burial was followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery # 2.
