Is the Bee County Pageant sanctioned by the Miss Texas Scholarship

Yes

Plans are underway for a Miss Bee County Pageant to be held on September 28, 2003 at Coastal Bend College. Sponsored by the Bee County Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau, young ladies are eligible to compete who are not less than seventeen years of age on that date nor more than 24 years of age on October 31, 2004. Contestants must be high school graduates or successfully completed the G. E. D. testing program for high school equivalency or have successfully completed the academic requirements for entry into a four year college/university degree program by July 30, 2004. In addition, participants must be single and never been married or have had an annulment of marriage, and must not be, or have been, pregnant, nor ever have cohabited with a male in lieu of a marriage contract.

The Chamber is currently in negotiations with the Miss Texas Organization to make the Miss Bee County Pageant a preliminary to the 2004 Miss Texas and Miss America Pageant.
