Advisory Task Force for Bee County Judge's & Beeville Mayor's Offices

In November 2002, Bee County Judge, Jimmy Martinez and Beeville Mayor, Kenneth Chesshir formed a citizens task force with the goal of uniting cultures, and communities within the City and  County. This organization would become known as "The Bee County Judge's & Beeville Mayor's Advisory Task Force." The fifteen member voluntary Advisory Task Force was composed of citizens from Beeville and Bee County. Membership in the Task Force is as Ethnically and  Culturally diverse as Beeville and Bee County. Each member on the Task Force was appointed by the County Judge or City Mayor and serves a four-year term.

The Bee County Judge's & Beeville Mayor's Advisory Task Force mission is:

"To advise the County Judge and City Mayor and to facilitate solutions to problems encountered by citizens at the City and County level. The Advisory Task Force Members must promote unity and open lines of communication between various government officials, business community, social and health organizations, and private non-profit organizations in Beeville and Bee County and will build on relationships between all local elected officials. The Advisory Task Force Members shall invite the participation of the Beeville Ministerial Alliance and all clergy of Bee County. The Advisory Task Force Members shall identify and promote local resources and shall bring government to the people of Beeville and Bee County."

Since its inception in 2002 the Advisory Task Force has held weekly televised meetings and has hosted countless professional guest speakers who advise the Task Force and the public on pertinent social services and resources available in our area. Task Force meetings are held on Monday's at 6:00 PM, and televised broadcast of the meetings are delayed until Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. on public access channel 11.

Because of the tremendous success of these meetings, the Bee County Judges Office, the Beeville Mayor's Office and Task Force members have decided to go "online" and provide a, "Task Force Website." Once online citizens will be able to access information about guest speakers and services or resources available to them throughout Beeville and Bee County.
