A memorial service celebrating Betty will be held today (Saturday) at 5:00 p.m. at Lake View Baptist Church in Swinney Switch with Ray Waugh officiating. Mrs. Scotten will be cremated. She was born on June 11, 1919, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Harold and Ruth (Fritz) Steffy. She married Frank K. Scotten in June 1957 in Delta, Pennsylvania She was a member of Lake View Baptist Church and resided in Beeville. Mrs. Scotten was a retired grocery store cashier. After moving to Texas in 1996. Betty and Frank moved shared a special time together in their "little bungalow" on Lake Corpus Christi near Swinney Switch. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Rachel Henry, and a stepson, Kenneth Scotten. Survivors include her husband, Frank K. Scotten of Beeville; her daughters, Marcy and Jim Scotten of Beeville and Dawn and Roger Winterborne of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.; a daughter-in-law, Ethel Scotten of York, Pennsylvania; 60-plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
