Dominga L Valdez went home to be with the Lord, July 8, 2005 in El Cajon, California surrounded by her family.

She was born in Oakville, Texas, September 1912. Born to Maxima V Leal and Arnulfo Leal.

Mrs. Valdez was known for her generosity, Friendliness and Affectionate manner. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Her husband Vilcen Garcia Valdez preceded Mrs. Valdez in death and her grandson David Valdez Jr. Mrs. Valdez and her husband owned and operated a successful family grocery store for many years, after Mr. Valdez passed away in 1957, Mrs. Valdez operated the store for many years after.

Mrs. Valdez moved to EL Cajon, California in 1995 and remained here until her death.

She is survived by two daughters Ramona Towner (Jim) of El Cajon, California Maria Coriell New Albany, Indiana, and by one son David Valdez (Virginia) El Cajon, California .. Eight Grand Children, that she loved deeply—Joe Coriell and Michael Coriell both of New Albany, Indiana—Teresa I Parvini, San Diego, California —Elizabeth Patchett, Sparks, Navada.—James Towner, El Cajon, California —Rene Valdez, El Cajon, California —JoAnn Villegas, Mary Ann Pena Victoria, Texas. 8 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Grandchildren.   She is also survived by two sisters Antonia Arias of Houston, Texas. And Celia Armendarez of Beeville Texas. Two brothers Jimmy Leal and Benito Leal. Pallbearers are James Towner, Rene Valdez, John David Valdez, Nader Parvini, Joe Pena and Johnny Ray Valdez.

Viewing is from 5:00 PM to 9:00PM on Friday July 15, 2005. Saturday July 16, services will be at Our Lady of  Victory church, with Father Luke celebrating the mass. Graveside service will be at San Pedro Cemetery in Claresville. There will be a gathering at St James Hall in Beeville after the graveside services.
