He was born September 4, 1942 to Tom and Morris Lee Thomas in Hebbronville, Texas. Harold was raised in Alice; Texas He attended William Adams High School. He was a member of St. Paul AME Church in Skidmore, Texas. Harold married Jo Ann Fields in Alice, Texas they are the parents of three children, Harold Thomas Jr., Stephanie Thomas, and Claudette Thomas.
Harold will be remembered for his great sense of humor: he loved to tell jokes; he was also fluent in spanish. Harold was preceded in death by his father Tom Thomas and his infant daughter. He is survived by his mother Morris Boales Thomas of Skidmore, Texas; two sisters Faye Thomas Harris of Beeville and Rachel J. Thomas of Skidmore; son Harold Thomas Jr., Stephanie Thomas, Claudette Thomas, Grandson Eugene Johnson, Granddaughter Cheyenne Davis and Former wife Jo Ann Thomas of Victoria, Texas daughter Roslyn Thomas granddaughter Charisma Wright and former wife Lillie Mae Great house of Shiner, Texas numerous friends, nieces, nephews and friends Chapel Service will be on October 7. 2005 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel 3:00p.m. with Rev. Regina Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, Texas
