Mrs. Hilaria “Lala“
Villarreal 89 was called to her final flight home
where she was taken by Angels into the arms of
our Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2003.
She was
born on January 14, 1914 in Huisachi, Texas.
Mrs.
Villarreal was preceded in death by her parents;
Gregorio Cantu and Emilia Gonzales and her loving
husband Leopoldo Villarreal Sr. Lala enjoyed
baking, sewing needle point and spending quality
time with her family. Mrs. Villarreal was a
member of the Woodmen of The World and served as
secretary and was a Precinct Judge for Bee
County.
She is survived by one daughter; Mrs.
Irma ( Alfonso ) Tijerina of Beeville, Texas, four
sons; Leo Villarreal of San Antonio,Texas, Anthony
(Elizabeth) Villarreal of Houston, Texas, Jesse
(Vivian) Villarreal of Richmond, Texas and Johnny
(Dolores) Villarreal of Stafford, Texas, One
sister; Zoila Barrera of Kingsville, Texas, one
brother; Bonifacio Cantu of Corpus Christi, Texas,
13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Rosary was held on Monday, January 20, 2003 at
7:30 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home. Mass of
Resurrection was held on Tuesday, January 21, 2003
at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic
Church with Rev. Richard Gonzales officiating.
Interment was followed at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Kris Villarreal, John Tijerina, Michael Villarreal, Albert Tijerina,
David Villarreal and Anthony “Tony” Villarreal.
We all take
different paths in life, but no matter where we
go,
we take a little of each other everywhere our
hearts go.
