On April 25, 2003 Maria M. Gutierrez was taken by the Angels into the Gates of Heaven at the age of 88. 

Maria was born in Karnes City, TX. On April 11, 1915 to the late Juan Amando Moreno and Maria Elodia Vidaurri. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco R. Gutierrez and now they will be together forever. 

She is survived by 2 sons: Reyes (Isaabel) Gutierrez of Sandia, TX. And Margarito (Adelita) Gutierrez of Mathis, Tx.; one dauther; Belen (Manuel) Vasquez of Mathis, TX. Five sisters; Severiana Benavidez, Juana Vasquez both of Mathis, TX. Magdalena Ruiz of Lubbock, TX., Antonia Rivas of Kenedy,TX. and Belia Cavazos of Hargil, TX.; five brothers; Serafin, Lionel and Noe Moreno all of Mathis, TX. Eustorquio Moreno of Corpus Christi, TX. And Dims Moreno of Fort Worth, Tx.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 

Rosary was held on Sunday April 27, 2003 at the American Legion Hall in Mathis, TX. Mass of Resurrection was held at Sacred heart Catholic Chruch in Mathis, TX. With Rev Jose Salazar officiating.  Burial was followed at Descanso Eterno Cemetery # 1 in Mathis, TX. 

Birds of Paradise were released   The family watch into the Heavens while the beautiful snow-white birds danced peacefully into the sky as it brought peace, tranquility, and hope to all who watched.  Pallbearers were Deborah L. Galvan, Sandra Vasquez, Tammy Gutierrez, David, Gutierrez, Mark Gutierrez, Dennis Gutierrez and Jamie Gutierrez.

Let God add a Spiritual dimension to your Life;
Then we will never be alone in dealing with whatever  troubles may appear.
