Survivors include two sons Jose A. Garcia and Abel R. Garcia both of Beeville; two sisters Gloria Medellin of Callalen Texas. and Alvessa Inmon of Beeville; one brother P.C. Salazar of Beeville and Jose M. Salazar who preceded him in death. Six grandchildren Christina Rae Countryman, Gloria Rae Garcia Guzman, Rebecca Jo Vasquez, Angela L. Garza, Clarissa A. Garcia, and Jose A. Garcia Jr. also six great-grandsons and three great- granddaughters. Mr. Garcia served his community for many years as a local firefighter and received recognition; Named Father of the Beeville Fire Station, Beeville Volunteer for more than 26 years, Former instructor, pump operator and fire fighting for 17 years at Texas A&M College Station. also Fireman of the year 10 years. Prayer service will be at 7:00p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home. A Fireman’s Funeral Service will be at 10:00a.m. at Trevino Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Stone Officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Beeville.
