Main Course

One and a half cup rice
one can hunts tomato sauce
one teaspoon ground cumin  slightly heaping
one half onion diced
one quarter green bell pepper diced
two cloves garlic minced (fresh)
delete ingredients to please taste

one and a half teaspoon salt/ pepper one teaspoon
two tablespoons oil or shortening

brown rice in oil; combine all spices in a bowl of water to include tomato sauce and fresh vegetables.   Pour mixture over rice, then add approx. two and half cups of water, bring to boil for two minutes then cover and simmer for twenty minutes.  If rice is drying out before the texture is pleasing to you  then add a little bit of water at a time.
keep covered.   do not stir
