Dog Fight

During the "Dog Fight" the airplanes have a streamer trailing that the other planes attempt to cut off.

If you look closely, you can see the streamers on some planes.

Public Service Announcement

Bee Radio Control Flying Club will be hosting a fly-in for local and area radio control pilots and clubs, during the Bee County Family Fall Fest Saturday October 6, 2001. The fly-in will be held at the Chase Field Industrial Complex.

Model aircraft will be flown representing everything from today's modern aerobatic airplanes, to the warbirds of WWII, also aircraft from the early years of aviation. The wing span of aircraft will range from 40 inches to 10 feet.

Club members plan to have a radio control combat "dogfight" with the club from Corpus Christi. Combat airplanes are build for this type of event. The planes are fitted with crepe paper streamers. Then several of these airplanes are flown at the same time, with the object being to cut off your opponent's streamer.

Everyone is invited to come out after the parade, see the aircraft, watch the flying, and have a good time.
